Children Of God Ministry

At FUMC we believe that our children and youth are special, important, and valuable. We strive to have fun and engaging programs that instill the fundamental truths of Christianity and help them get to know Jesus up close and personal. We also believe that loving kids and families is a very important part of our ministry. On the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th Sundays, during our 9am service, parents are encouraged to keep their school-aged children with them during worship until the Children's Moments to model worship. After the Children's Moment, the kids are dismissed to Children's Church where they will participate in a mini church service all their own. Children's Church is located on the 2nd floor just off of the elevator. Nursery is available for our children ages 4 and under in the Parlor, located just off of the Sanctuary.

Sunday School for Pre-K through 5th Grade begins at 10am also located on the 2nd floor just off of the elevator. Children begin their faith journey, learning that Jesus loves them and is always there for them. They learn through music, Bible stories, crafts, activities and so much more.

Sunday School for 6th Graders through Seniors is located in our Youth Room up the stairs off of the Multi-Purpose Room. This class is in a transition phase at the moment. If you have a youth in this age group please ask your usher or greeter to find Angie Strosnider, our Children's and Youth Director, for you! She'll help you find your place to encounter Jesus in a relevant and engaging way.
